Auction system.
Class system.
Character creation.
No US only servers.
This game was one of the first MMORPGS I played, and it was one of the best. The reason I had to stop playing is because of the insane grind factor, though that is essentially what MMORPGs are. The fact that 75% (made up statistic) of the players on when I played speaked Japanese didn't help matters either. The combat system was great and working well with a group was important. I'll always have memories from this game, but it is getting quite dated now.

Experience: 1 Weeks
-Low System Requirements
-Nice Artwork and Animations
-Worst Controls Ever
-Terrible GUI
I must of been out of my mind when I bought this. I was looking for a game and liked the look of the graphics in FFXI.

I installed this off a single DVD and it included the expansion packs. Going from DVD in hand to actually playing the game took at least 2 hours on a high end system with DSL, downloading updates took about an hour. Then I spent another 2 hours at least trying to make the controls at least semi usable.

The game forces you to run in full screen and if you try to alt-tab out the game closes on you. This pretty much turns Windows XP into DOS, they should have a warning on the box for this atrocity alone. I ended up finding a hack to get the game to play with the focus taken away from it but it's against the user agreement to use this and they could actually cancel my account for trying to make the game tolerable.

The controls in this game are the worst I've seen in the last 10 years in PC gaming. I'd have to go way back to the early days of PC gaming where some games didn't even let you reconfigure the controls to find anything as bad as this and even then I'm sure the default controls would of been a lot better. I can't believe people actually put up with this. They've taken some horrible console controls and forced them on PC players. The mouse interface is so bad you're actually better off playing with just the keyboard and playing with the keyboard is torturous.

When you start off the game there's very little instruction on what you're supposed to do so you actually have to rely on "getting started" guides written by people on websites. There is no good information from the game developer themselves.

Gameplay has more do-nothing time then Everquest. I'm typing this while my character auto attacks something. Fighting takes forver, most of the time you're staring at your screen but not really doing anything.

The GUI is painful to use. Just going from the desktop to the game takes 15 mouse clicks, leaving the game is also painful. The mouse is useless so I won't even explain how bad it is.

I couldn't end a rant review without touching on the positive sides of the game. The graphics and artwork in the game are nicely done, as are the animations.

Great graphics, great world to wonder in.
Not too many I can think of now.
I personally do not own this game but seen it played. it was a very well done addition to the FF world that I have played in many times in all the FF releases for nintendo up to the sony playstation. I am a fan of the FF series and will be for a long time.

Experience: 2 Weeks
-Rad mage looks kicks z$$
-FINAL FANTASY, what more could you want!!
-mmmm, cat girls errr.... I mean Mithra
-not a solo type of MMORPG
-might not be for every one
-Taru Taru they look like creapy clowns :/
-no pre-payed card
I love Final Fantasy and this game rocks!!

Great world, great story, cool classes, great graphics, be the **** out of any thing other MMO's right now and by the looks of things for some time to come. However it might not be for all, the is a group game there's very limited ability to solo, so if that your type of game look for somthing else.

Experience: 1 Weeks
the monthly fees...but it worth it
Awsome game! The best online RPG ever played. I bought it 1 week ago and played 50hours and i'm not ready to stop there, I'm sure that I just done 1% of the game. If you like online game, and the Final Fantasy Series, you must buy it!

Experience: 1 Months
Everything is great in this game!
Probably one of my first MMORPG. I liked this game a lot and spend endless hours playing it. Good graphics, sound and gameplay.

Experience: 1 Months
Awesome FF update
Paying every month
Another great game from the Final Fantasy series. It's great fun, but the only downfall is that you have to pay every month to play.

Experience: 4 Months
Graphics are awesome. Gameplay and detail are top notch. Game gets better as you get into the high levels.
Can be tough to figure out at first, as a lot of mmorpgs are
I am currently taking a break from the game, however I will definitely be starting it up again in 2 or 3 weeks. This game is very well done. I have not had any technical issues with it. If you buy a PS2 to USB converter (Not sure if NCIX carries these), the game will be much easier to control since it was designed around the PS2 controller, not the keyboard. Great game, especially for those who love FF style games.

Experience: 1 Years
The VERY BEST there is
Same with every MMORPG, lots of traveling
I played the beta and Japanese import; and this is the BEST MMORPG out there.

Experience: 10 Days
Lots of invironement...thats about it..
Hard To Start
Graphics are Lame
Easily gets boring
This game is defenetly not for me...I did not like it at all...but i guess i would recomend it to the people who like role playing games.
